If you're looking for a reasonably price, fast 29er hardtail ebike then look no further. This weeks featured product is the KTM Macina Race 292.
This fast pace speed machine is about the fastest ebike you will find off the road. The frame geometry combined with the 29" wheels mean the bike can ride pretty aggressively when it wants but is also fun to throw into corners and down streets. Lets get into the spec that makes this hardtail so much fun.
The 2019 Macina Race 292 blurs the line between between the Macina Lycan and Chacana range with the main feature being that their is no rear suspension. Combine this with fast rolling 29 inch wheels, shorter travel forks, a strong groupset and an aggressive frame design and you have one serious race machine on your hand.
The Macina Race range all come with Performance standard CX Bosch Motors with 500 watt integrated batteries. KTM use gravity casting to make sure the motors are perfectly balanced into the bottom of the frame and also provide the branded 'power tube' which makes the battery fit and look so sleek.
KTM have taken aspects of their world standard hardtail the Myroon and placed elements into the frame geometry of the Macine Race range but still make sure it's slack enough to play around on as well as keep you balanced with the torq from the motor.
Something else that makes this bike so advanced is the spec that comes with the 2019 model. To keep the bike supple theirs a pair of Fox 32 Float 100mm forks up front. It also pairs with a Sram NX Eagle 12 speed groupset and some Shimano MT501 4 piston brakes to slow you down. All this comes in at 22.2kg and is available now from the Fli website for £3399.99.
The battle against and for Ebikes has been going on for years now but we at Fli are strong believers that everyone needs one! If you don't believe us or are just curious then be sure to follow Fli Distribution and KTM Bike Industries UK on social media to hear about demo days in you're local area.
